Saturday 6th December 2014: On this momentous day, 32 singers aged between 6-60yrs took part in a flashmob in Cannes train station! If you’re not familiar with the term ‘Flashmob’ then what happened was that Lizzy (the choirs leader) unexpectedly started singing from the balcony in the central waiting area, and one by one the choir joined in to the total surprise of some very happy commuters! We had singers dotted all over the waiting area, at the ticket office, on the escalator, even dressed up as business men reading the newspaper! We performed Clean Bandits ‘Rather Be’ and it was a huge success! You can have a sneaky peak at some video clips on the Big Blaze Choir facebook page (we had over 2500 views of one of the videos in 24hrs!) and coming soon will be an edited video montage of all the footage gathered from the big event.
Summer 2014: After a great last term, the choir are now having a well deserved summer break (and no doubt lubricating their vocal chords with some summery pimms or something similar!). The Spring end of term concert was an absolute blast. The choir performed perfectly and the soloists shone like the bright stars that they are, including our Elvis ‘look a like’ whose rendition of ‘Love me tender’ and our very own Otis Reading’s performance of ‘Sitting on the dock of the bay’ left the audience wanting more!

This terms song selection will include more classic hits blended with a sprinkle of well known current popular songs. So whether you’re an old hat on the mic or even if you’ve never sung publicly before, come along for a sing on Tuesday 23rd September and meet the gang. You wont leave disappointed!
